Clouds on the Floor

by Sunshine   Sep 25, 2015

It rains and thunders
like roars and fires
in a winter tumbleweed.

But I never get
to lift hands,
to close eyes
and raise a head
toward the
coughing sky and soar,

for the clouds that are left-
lie tired on the floor..

    Rania,
This is a stunning piece and the language and imagery in that second stanza thoroughly impressed me ".......the coughing sky" - brilliant.
    All the very best,
    Ben
