Love..

A thousand words can never say, what's 'inside' when Love finds 'way'
A warm, warm smile, a tear in eye, a beating Heart, a wistful sigh
You need to see him, hold him near, wrap arms around him, to you, so dear
At last your life has found direction, mind and soul flow with affection
Yearn to be close and feel his touch, you want him so, so very much
Now footsteps running through the rain, oh to be with him, once more, again
Please God, a moment to see him once more, to give him all that Love you store
Now in his caress for that moment in time, you say to yourself, 'Let him always be mine'
Then somewhere now quiet you both need to go, so your
'all' you can give, then he will know
That your Love is complete and so very sincere, and you'll always want him to be near..

    A lovely poem about love. A tribute to a son perhaps? Or maybe the good lord himself.

      Hi Michael,
      I wrote this poem a while back now, not for my son, but was how I felt when Love first touched my life, (just changed the 'him's and hers' around for this poem.)
      True love is such a very precious and wonderful thing and should always be treasured, but unfortunately, in this day and age, it is often not recognised as such, and sometimes let go in an instant.

    You are right: a thousand words could never say what is inside. Love can only be felt and seen in the eyes of the one you love. But, having said all that....it is very, very nice to receive a beautiful love poem!!!
