Words Crashing Upon a Deafened Mind

by Once an Angel   Jan 5, 2016

*I am all alone*

Hey! Hey hey hey!
Don't you feel that?
~squeeze~
I am touching your hand,
holding it in mine.
I am right beside you,
hugging all of you.
I'm not going anywhere.
Please, can't you just
feel that?
Feel me?

*I am all alone*

~

*I am a burden*

Aren't we all sometimes?
It's me,
and me is someone who wants
you -
struggling you,
healthy you,
healing you,
all of you,
a living you.
I want to be needed.
I am glad to be needed
by you.
Don't you know that?

*I am a burden*

~

*No one will care*

Wait wait wait wait. . .
Wait. Really?!
Those nights at the hospital,
nights spent finding you,
spent protecting you,
spent keeping you safe. . .
nights and days and nights,
years. I have given for you,
given to you. Years.
Weekends at your place,
long drives in the dark.
Tears I shed,
love I given,
for you,
to you.
Can't you remember?

*no one will care*

~

Please. . .
Feel that. . .
Know that. . .
Remember that . . .
Please. . .

*Goodbye*

I have to say that this is a thoroughly desperate and moving piece of writing that left a lump in my throat - it really does what it sets out to do. This is a truly emotional piece, excellently laid out and written.

Thank you. It is very meaningful that you so often take time to read my words.
