The moon is new tonight and the night
is what it has always been - Black.
I am scared.
Take the white paint!
Or the silver? No, the yellow!
Or is it the grey you see? Take it quick and spill it here. Cover the black that hunts me.
Come to me as I lay my head. Speak of lands
where nightmare is white...
where the night is your silver paint...
where black is not quite.
Open my hard knuckles and soothe it grey,
breathe your breath in my squinted eyes and whisper again that I am safe.
