Let Me See You and I'll Grant You a Wish [English Sonnet]

by Everlasting   Dec 6, 2016

If I were shooting stars traversing skies,
it'll be because I am in search of you.
Do know a while ago I saw your eyes
since then the flame of life in me just grew.
It's 'cause of then that I became a star:
a source of light that lives in solitude,
too distant from the world, away too far;
escorted by the darkness' servitude.
But lately parts of me are breaking up,
It has been since the day you disappeared
I'm falling fast, it's hard just holding up
by knowing I won't ever see you dear
So make the time to sit outside at night,
So I can see you once at least tonight.

    Luce, what a bittersweet write. A lovely sonnet with so much longing. I love how you used stars and being able to see your loved one if they just come out at night and look up-
