Moon Dusting

by Maple Tree   Feb 13, 2017

There is a room within my soul
for one final tear drop,
to make a riverbed
for me to lay down my life;

and sleep forevermore.

Upon a dusky, sultry morn
my petals will cast a fragrance
upon this dying earth-

Leaving a shadow
behind the moon,
we shall dance my love.

This life,
filled with toxic kisses
and poisoned embraces
shall be nothing more
than a leaf in the wind.

Take my hand-
let us travel together
upon the starry cobblestones..
as the sun continues to rise and fall....

    Andrea, your words are always refreshing to read even when they are full of this raw emotion that often graces your pages.

    1/ This gripped me so badly that I had to re-read it before I read the rest because I can feel that even though you have had much pain you can take more because you're strong but in the process it'll kill you :(

    2/ No, we don't want you to but I guess there's a time when we all die.

    3/ I absolutely loved this and to me it says no matter when you go you will leave a memory and a good one at that. My opinion.

    4/ Dance away my love for all to see as we look up to the moon. Beautiful imagery.

    5/ And what a life it will be. Turbulent and stormy but a good one none the less? I think so because life is what you make it and you my dear are wonderful.

    6/ This ending is full of imagery and I think of two lovers going hand in hand to their safe place, a place where nobody knows them to start afresh, to continue the life they have made together and enjoy it peacefully.

    Well done on a yet another wonderful piece,
    Take care, Em
