Hurting heart

She is, what was
a soul, a promise
of a cold sun
memories but a pun.
What have I done?
The ruins,
broken tomorrow of bright yesterday.
Tears of a crooked smile,
with hurting heart,
shuttered,
painted love to a future that never came

Very emotional and regretful though powerful. Never have regret for things gone because if you tried it why should you regret it?

    Shanky,

Your poetry is always so full of raw emotion and the kind of sadness that cannot be anything other than genuine.
Another well written piece with some nice rhyme sprinkled throughout.

Take care and all the very best,

    Ben
