Before I fall asleep each night,
It is your face that bounces around in the darkness across my eyelids;
And it is your name that spins in the back of my mind,
Making me miss you more than I already do.
I've allowed you to get close to me despite my minds small objections;
Because my heart wants you here.
But I'm still scared,
despite all the positivity and happiness you continue to bring me.

I want you to be different.

Just be here.

Friends do it too.
