Quirky Island

So we have
Finally returned from
Catalina Island,
After thoroughly checking out
It's city of Avalon.

Yes,
The city where
The post office doesn't deliver
On Sunday,
Or Monday,
Or, for that matter,
Any day.

The city where
There's a large casino
At the end of the island,
But you cannot gamble there.

The city where
There's a Bird Park
With no birds,
A phone booth
With no phones,
And a Chicago Cubs training camp
Without the training camp.

Still,
This island has it's
Quirky but awesome things.

For one,
It's got buffalos.
Lots and lots of buffalos.

As well as nice
Restaurants and collectibles
That are conveniently located
By the seaside.

And a certain Italian restaurant
That messes with the tourists
By having a sign outside that says
"Sorry, we're Open".

I cannot wait to come here again.
