December

December

Once tenth and final month,
Your name redundant after
nameless days were gathered into
years beginning.

Embracing winters chilly solstice in the north,
Or heated golden languor in more
balmy southern climes.

You end the year still
with festive cheer,
Despite the missing duo
owed to render you sublime.
