Fine

This is a nightmare,
I'm not awake,
Mind in loops,
As I start to break.

It hurts when I think,
It hurts to eat,
It aches to sleep,
I'm weary and weak.

"You are filth" to which I agree,
Self esteem crushed, what happened to me?
"You've died. Inside, barely alive,
Holding onto a future unseen.

" it'll be better tomorrow " as Im suffocating in sorrow,
My weakest voice as I try to be hollow,
Scooping out emotions, dripping tears,
The unknown is laced with uncertainty and fear.

" Remember the love" offers a heart battered and bruised,
It is brave for a necessity often abused,
"Be who you are" offers the mind,
"One step at a time". Yeah. I'm fine.

    The mind is right Rei! Feel the pain - you can't avoid it anyway, and it's better than bottling it up for it come back and bite you further down the line. You will be fine ... it's a platitude, but also true. It just takes time. Well done on using your wonderful words to express your pain. Sending hugs :-) x
