Rainbow Baby

17 weeks and 3 days,
So, I guess that is all it takes.
Today was the day that I felt your strong kicks.
In my lower abdomen, "This isn't gas, is it?"

A few moments of slow breaths, a truth so cute and pure.
You kicked mommies hand, becoming her cure.
People said it was like this..
Said it would cause me bliss.
But, I never believed until I felt those little kicks.

1...2...3...4...
Oh, baby boy, you made mommies heart soar.

5...6...7...8...
Nope, this was definitely not something that mommy ate.

In the middle of talking to your daddy,
you made yourself known.
I never thought feeling you moving inside me would make me cry,
look at how much you have already grown.

Hey stranger!! I am going to be 18 weeks along on Monday! The kiddos are doing amazing. Things are still not well when it comes to their mothers but when we told his daughter I was pregnant, she immediately asked if she could be at the hospital when he was born. We took her to the 3D ultrasound with us on Thursday and allowed the kids to be surprised with the gender. (She wanted a boy so bad). Well, we bought a gender reveal box and a bear the color of his gender and let her open the box. She got SO HAPPY!! I am slowly still trying for a relationship with his son, but I am getting very close to his daughter.. Quicker than I thought honestly.
