Fantasy World

by lisa marie   Jan 2, 2005

Sitting around in a different state of mind
Trying to find my place in this downbeat world
Am i right on track or running out of time
What is to come and when will i die?

Eyes wandering, relaxed and calm
As my mind drifts further into a delusion
Alot on my mind, don’t know where to start
Objectifying mind creating an illusion

Body becomes numb, arms start to tingle
I am now in a dream, my fantasy world
Full of optimisim, no disagreements
Perception is changing and people are too

Walking through my world with a smile on my face
Nothing to worry about, there’s no more dispute
It’s okay to be gay or a different race
Peacefulness spreads, war has died off

Greed vanished, money is shared
No more starving kids in a sorrowful mess
Crime rate decreased, human nature tolerant
Your opinion is different and not treated less

Hate is no longer even a word
In this imaginative world of mine
Crying masses of people are now heard
Society is equal , everything is fair

Body bouncing back, eyes begin to open
Fading back to reality- hate, war, greed, and crime
Goodbye my world, only possible for a dream
Because hate seems to increase over time
