Beat and Abused

You told me you loved me
with all your heart

You told me
we would never be apart

We gave each other our word of honor
On our wedding day

I felt like I had a place
in someones world and in heart

We had been together
4 years to this day
Thats when it all started to change

You beat me once, again and again
You called me horrible words
that broke my heart
I thought it as a nightmare
But you made me stay

You gave me bumps
bruises and scars
You broke my arms a few times
but most important....
My heart

If I cried you laughed
It made you want to
beat me some more

I didn't understand
What went wrong
To the handsome man I married
He had turned so harsh

You found a pregnancy test
in the trash one day
You looked at it....
and found out I was carrying a baby

You got so mad, you pushed me
down the stair well
took a knife to my stomach and
said you didn't care

You stabbed me in th stomach
Killing our baby inside that night
I cried from all the pain inside
and then you kicked me and left
Without a trace left behind

I'm glad you left
Now I'm away..in a shelter
That has women like me...
Who get beat and abused

Men like you are sick
Beating on women and enjoying
watching them in pain and suffering

*This is a poem I wrote for all the women out there who get beat and hit on by men. I don't know how it is but this is how I view such a horrible thing done
