Dear Dad

by lisa marie   Nov 18, 2005

Dear dad can you hear me weep?
Do you lie beside me while i sleep?
Is that you trying to talk at night?
Is your body still in constant pain?
cause I'll flow down with the rain,
I'll willingly race across the trees
And ride along with the breeze,
just to see you in my dream,
floating along a moutain stream
With your child smile
That's all worthwhile,
Cause i haven't spoken of you,
Or written about your worldly view,
And I'm sorry i didn't love you enough
To keep you going when life was tough
God knows your heart was always pure
Through everything you had to endure,
and I'll hold your pain and set you free,
release your soul right through me.
and may you always be buried in love,
and finally rest in heaven above.

That's all the bad things I can say about this poem.

The imagery is outstanding and the reason why you wrote it is just....well, it leave me speechless.

Awesome work - no complaints on this one. It all flows along and sounds very poetic - particulary this line 'release your soul right through me' which fit in perfectly. Nice stuff.
