June's Tribute

by Matters   Jan 8, 2006

Perplexing thoughts, scratched and etched,
Scarring memoirs in my mind,
Releasing tempting fires,
To openness confined.

Tired of the death, burnt grim,
Causing all the present fear,
Captured by the stench of kill,
The rattling breath is drawing near.

Churn the love within the river,
Mark with black and hide away,
Torture every living being,
Bewitch until a hollow day.

Every life upon this field,
Has been mystified and scorched,
Persecuted by the sword,
Infected by the torch.

No one will survive this,
I know, as you must not,
And when time takes toll occurrence,
I know this is forgot.

Just another cleansing of,
Worthless ethnicity,
Encircle me with harsh, cruel stares,
Ignore the sullen birth of me.

Once again, I die,
Routine won't stop, my friend,
Rust away the wars of me,
Yet our lives will never end.

I, myself, am really confused by this--I think it's supposed to be about the Holocaust--but I got lost in words...
