Like Nothing Else On Earth

by David Munoz   Apr 15, 2006

I stand on a mountain and stare at the sky
But find its beauty is eclipsed
By what's on my mind; a picture of you
As the raindrops fall to my lips

As I stand on the highest peak
With wonders as far as the eye can see
I come to realize that these mean nothing
Without the feelings you give to me

The sun shines through the falling rain
Igniting each droplet into a dazzling sight
But even this fails when compared to you
Your eyes sparkling with majestic light

To the side there lies an ocean
As glorious as it is wide
But my love for you runs deeper
A love too big to hide

Off to the right there lies a city
Full of the great achievements of man
But I would gladly trade all these away
For the warmth and comfort of your hand

Behind me lies the vastness of the world
Created perfect by God's own hand
But still I would give it all
If beside you I could stand

Inside me burns the purest love
For one with immeasurable worth
Burning for one so perfect
They are like nothing else on earth

It burns for you
