Death of immortality

by Elynnka   May 16, 2006

I watched you fade…
. . .
. .
.

Flowers of crystal up in the sky…
Always to shine so hard they try.
Lonely and shimmer you seem,
Left in the cold faint moon beam,
Illuminating the vast abyss -
Nothing feels better than your ray’s kiss.
Gone with the wind of silver cold
Staying alone and growing old,
Trying so hard to not fade away,
All of your efforts won’t make you stay,
Running won’t help you, nothing will do…

.
. .
. . .
Away from the stars…

- The first and last verse represent a summary of the whole poem. Read the letter on the start of each verse (except the 1st and last) for another summary :) Since I've never seen a poem written in this form before I'll take the liberty of naming it "Elynnka" and claim it as my own. Hope you like it!
