The shadow of my mistakes

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 13, 2006

Dark is the night, as light is the day
I spend half my life turning away
Naturally revolution is what it takes
To escape the shadow of my mistakes

Dark is the night as truth is the light
Blind is my sight in the dark of the night
Life guides me toward celestial perfection
Love forgives me with heavenly affection

Lessons are learned, yet truth is not earned
Passions persuade my soul to be burned
Seeking salvation for heaven\'s sakes
Far from the shadow of my mistakes

I love how the rhyming really flows with context of the poem. Also the lexis used is very nice flowing and calm.
