The waves of my heart
flow like an ocean
after you left me
the tides of depression grew
stronger and colder
tears beating against my cheeks
like waves against a cliff
when your here
the light shines in magnificent rays
shinning like stars in the sky
but now my heart is all gray
the sun only shines briefly
only when I'm with friends
then when they leave
the clouds come out
And the pounding, cold, hard rain
falls in tears out of my eyes
killing all emotions near the surface
the waves thrashing around
never resting
the only difference
is that the ocean lives
and it will be alive long after me
