Reading Between the Lines

by Poet on the Piano   Nov 6, 2007

Confused about some things,
Needing some guidance and help,
In life.
You're there,
You always will be,
There.
I'm not seeing,
Yet still believing,
In you,
And loving everything,
You do.

I'm reading between the lines,
Trying to look deep inside,
Of you,
And everything you say and do.
I'm trying to understand,
The words that you plant,
In my mind,
Still taking my time.

Every now and then,
I give in.
I let go,
Of my worries,
And my troubles,
And my fears,
And I give them to you.
Yes I do.

You help me find the way to live,
And the way to be,
And the way to love,
And the way to say,
Hey!
It's okay!

I'm believing,
And receiving,
Never leaving,
You.
You teach us how to live,
And still forgive.
You are always giving,
And never unliving.

I can see through you,
And everything you say and do.
Cause I'm reading,
Between the lines.

I really loved this poem. Honestly, I didn't expect this type of poem either.

I love how you mentioned " ready between the lines" because that's very vital in religions and relationships - everything, actually.

You also mentioned giving all your problems away, I loved that part (: It was probably my favorite part of the entire poem.

keep up darling, you're a great writer.
