Infant cries

by Georgi   Nov 20, 2007

Loud, initial cries
Are heard through glass barriers
And proudly soothed.

Piercing, hungry tears
Are noticed in deepest sleep
And gently fed.

Roaring, helpless noise
Is seen through closed doors
And comforted.

Thundering cries of panic
Are felt through solid layers
And quickly fixed.

The smallest infant smile
Is sensed through walls of steel
And cherished.

Its curious how
Through open air
Your presence can be silent

Greatly written from the first to the last line. You created remarkable imagery and your descriptions are very heartfelt and vivid. Every stanza is truly original, different from anything I've read before.
    Great job!
