Hallowed Apathy

Is there something you hold sacred, my dear?
An emotion perhaps, or some kind of fear, my dear?
Is there something of meaning to you, my dear?
Or like your mind, is your heart unclear, my dear?

Would you give it all up for something other than monotony, my dear?
Cast away all you know, all you feel, my dear?
To chase that hallowed apathy you crave, my dear?
Turn your heart and soul to rusted steel, my dear?

Oh, how Shall we wake the sleepers, my dear?
When all feeling is dead and gone, my dear?
Who shall awaken the ever-dreamers, my dear?
When the waking world loses it's song, my dear?

Don't you know something inside has cracked, my dear?
Apathy is madness, isn't it, my dear?
Is there a way for you to ever get it back, my dear?
So why does madness simply fit, my dear?

Did you find what you were looking for, my dear?
Did you reach that hallowed apathy you crave, my dear?
Now you're broken and insane to your core, my dear?
The love I gave, now in a grave, are you happy, my dear?
