Look past the color

by Beauty In The Breaking   Feb 9, 2008

People judging people
and never giving a chance,
when you look past the color of skin
or the size and shape of a person
can't you see we're all alike?

Black, brown, red, white and yellow
does the color of skin really make the person?
We all have feelings and hearts,
all wish to be loved for ourselves
and accepted the way we are.

How can you look at the people around you
and only see the differences?
Look past the size, color or even the shape
and search for the heart within,
what you find in a persons soul
is more then anything you can see.

Mentally slow,
physically mis-shaped,
speech impaired,
largely built,
differently speaking,
look past all of these things
and find the wonders beneath .

We're all brothers and sisters in this world,
put here to care and protect
not selective people but all,
why judge a person for where their from
or the language that they speak?

When next your faced with a person
thats weird and different to you
don't cast them or push them away
simply for their color, size or differences
close your eyes and hear their hearts,
the sound of their souls voice speaking
and remember that their people just like you.
