The Moment I Say "YES"

by Eminent Bard   Feb 10, 2008

They say that I wouldn't be happy
If that special someone, I don't have already
So they always keep on telling me
That I should have it right away

But I would just say
That I am not in a hurry
And I don't rush into falling in love
Cause those special things, now, I already have

If the time comes that I would really need
Well, I have no choice but to proceed
But I won't force myself if I can't seek
Cause if I don't have it, that won't make me weak

But if there is really a person
That would turn winter in my heart into summer season
Then it won't also be very easy for him
Cause I will really follow what I'd dreamed:

I want it in a very peaceful night
And the place would also be very bright
With beautiful flowers and pleasant attire
And a sweet music would complete my desire

I want him to sing my favorite song
And state a line that's not quite so long
It must also be done with honesty and humility
Cause I hate it if he's not true to me

If all these things, he can do
Then I can say "I love you, too!"
But if he can't give all I want
Well, all his wish, I can't also grant

But if these would be impossible to make
Well, being an old maid is what I'd take
But if he won't really give in and find another way
Then I could say "Yes, you may!"
