Her Darkest Of Times

by She Is My Rain   Feb 11, 2008

She keeps a smiles upon her face
A smile I know, could never be replaced

Yet in her darkest of times
The only thing she wishes
Is that she could die

She smiles to their face
Daring not to show them
For a mask is what is placed
To hide the hurt inside

She locks herself away
To piece together
The only sanity that remains
But to her there is no hope.

Her eyes
Are the gate way
To her demise

She tried so hard
To prove
She could make it
On her own

She distanced herself
From the ones she loved
Hide herself away
From the ones who truly cared

And in her last desperate piece of hope
She wrote a letter::

Momma,
Im sorry I could never truly be
The perfect daughter
You had grown to see

But I tried
As hard as I could
To stay around
To prove you could be proud

And Papa,
I promise you
No matter what
Ill always be
Your litte girl

I hate to see you hurt
And I know how much youll miss
Your little princess

But the princess Ive grown to be
Is cold and lifeless

She slowly died
Into something like this
A person who couldnt bare
To hurt no more
Or to hurt the ones around her

Tell my little sister
Ill be fine
And one day
Shell see me
In the land of the divine

And tell my baby brother
Not to worry
Ill be in his dreams
And he no longer
Has to hear my silent screams

Promise me this,
That no matter what
Youll remember
The girl I use to be

Love Always,
Your Daughter

And with that
She took the razor
To her wrist
And put her troubles
Far behind her
