My Valentine

by JEFF   Feb 14, 2008

Abundance of ideas bouncing,
Around in this feeble mind,
What to do for her today,
My most perfect Valentine.

Wanting to buy her a teddy bear,
Or some lavish treats,
Wanting to buy her a dozen roses,
I'm feeling really sweet.

But she shoots me down,
Telling me not to spend any money,
Saying that she doesn't need much,
"I just need you honey".

Paying no attention,
I head out to find the perfect gift,
Something that makes her smile,
Her spirits I want to lift.

So I find just the right card,
That shows just how I feel,
Grabbing a lot of little things,
Her heart I want to steal.

Picking the appropriate time,
To spring out my surprise,
Everythings in the right place,
As I look into her eyes.

She says "Awwwwww",
As she turns to me with a hug and a kiss,
"I Love You so much" I reply softly,
"It's you that I want , you that I miss".

Squeezing her tight,
Not wanting to let go.

Such happiness.

Freezing this moment in time,
Holding her forever.

This is my last wish.
