How many

by StandStill   Feb 16, 2008

How many of us look up
at night
at the same stars
and then look down at our scars
and think how horrible
and terrible
to be
me
and how many of us see the sunset
and wish that we were as beautiful as that
golden
and shining
and how many of us look into the fire
and see our truest desire
the one we love
the one we can't have
even tho we're sitting next to them
and how many of us watch the rain
and see our pain
personified
intensified
with each drop cried
how many

I think everyone does this in some way....but not many will admit it because they're too busy over-compensating to admit that they're insecure
