Recipe for disaster

by tiffyKat   Feb 17, 2008

Start with just a handful of all your hopes and dreams//snap them each in half after ripping out their seams//crack open a dirty secret, maybe even two//pour them into a separate dish to sift out any truth//once it's mostly fiction-it's safe to mix into the pot//you don't want any logic tampering with this mixture that we've got.

heat that to a boil, then throw those dreams you broke on in//lower to a simmer just for those you thought were your friends// now take all that bad advice they gave and the broken promise from your ex// throw that into the blender then mix with the really bad sex// stir until the shit gets thick but just put that on the side// that will come in later again to spread with all of the lies//now take your heart, it's already broken but squeeze out what remains// stir that into the simmering pot and add in some silly games.

we need a dish on the side to go with this lovely meal// so get some rumors that went around about that boy you tried to steal// next, preheat the oven to 350 degrees// pop in the lies we spoke of before-they should toast with ease.

dinner is almost ready, so invite those precious friends// and watch them eat those lovely words they told you way back when!
