The Paste Tense In Pretence

by Cantchangeme   May 19, 2004

So you let this become you
The river of hate swept you away
Hide your feelings from another day
You know they are the worlds holders
They carry on folding paper soldiers
Just like there pretentious smiles
Faked laughter carries them miles

Yes i am dirt
Yes i am low
No i am not rich
No this isn't for show
I'm glad I'm not rich
And my family aren't
A corporations b*tch

I am not who anybody wishes they were
I'm a lowly worm living on earth
but i have been since my birth
And there's still something I'd never do
I'd never let myself become you
