Star of gold

by Mr. Darcy   Mar 2, 2008

You've said 'no' to the crisps,
And pushed away the cream cakes,
When offered sweets, you'd reply,
'no thanks, I watch my weight!'

over months we've all seen
the pounds fall away.
The dresses you once wore,
can be sold on e.bay.

Instead you are now suited
To a wardrobe that flatters.
Farewell to the old one
That fitted when fatter.

To me you are amazing
The task you set was bold.
From grim and bigger,
To slimmer figure,
You are a star of gold.

Very nice - sounds like a winner being portrayed here. Good write - simple and yet I'm sure complex as well. Peace
