The Truth behind the Lie

by Mr Anonymous   Mar 3, 2008

I can't stay happy,
For more then a day-
You make me want to end my life,
In all kinds of ways

What have I ever done to you?
What've I done to deserve this?
You think you fixed everything by saying you're sorry,
You feel no guilt, and you do no worry

You'd ask how I'm doing,
I'd say I'm fine, g'bye
I don't want to say more then five words to you
At a time

You've made me cry more then anyone,
Made me wish I could dissapear
You've shut off my only light in the dark
You can make a day seem like years

Everyday I see you,
You ask how everythings going
You have, and don't want an idea about how I'm doing
You'd just ask to be polite
I could tell you don't really care by the look in your eyes

But I know one thing,
I'll know you won't ever be happy
You just want more and more,
And get rid of things when you're done with them

So next time I see you,
The next time you say 'hi'
The next time you ask how am I,
I'll just say fine
But there will always be,
A bit of truth behind the lie
