While silent shadows sneaked into the night
A lonely star upon a moonless sky
Was sending us it’s feeble rays of light,
Like winter kisses, painful, cold and blind.
The star, a dream that clouded our minds,
Covered our hearts with tender silken veils
Weightless, and caressing, our bodies frail
Our hands united and our lips so quiet.
Alike two feathers - dancing in the wind,
Two loving souls, that need no word or sound
Two foolish dreamers laughing side by side,
Spinning in circles - falling to the ground.
Our dream so short, and yet our love so blind,
A gift of beauty and illusion for one night
Broken apart by cruel morning light
Gone with the star upon the moonless sky.
