Leave the Hatchet There

by Faithless Watermelon   Mar 8, 2008

It's not what I'm made to do,
I don't need to watch the skies,
Too much is up to all of you,
It follows as the shadow lies..

What does it all mean?
Why not ask yourself?
You're looking sick and green,
Put the book back on the shelf..
I push me close to the edge,
You try to hold me back,
I know there is a savior hedge,
" don't want you to crack"

I don't want to bury the hatchet,
I do not want to detach it,
I'm hampered by all the fury,
But you still need to find a biased jury..

We're in way too deep,
We're not digging at a creep;
I'm afraid of what we might find,
But I can get out of any bind..

Wait - who is Gabriel?
Wait - who is Lucifer?
I know the answer -
I'll spread it like cancer..

Amazing word choice. Interesting way to put such a simple emotion, but it speaks a lot about who you are. It's a very nice piece and I think you have penned another piece of perfection. The style is simple and ordinary, yet somehow you've made it your own. Good job. Love it.
