IMITATION

by pozinthenoise   Mar 11, 2008

I'm not anybody's puppet,
But I admit I do not own my actions.
The smile I give, the tears I hide
It's all part of my pretentious actions.
I am just a girl, who loves to write,
Not a woman who loves impression.
I only wanted expression.

I am a wanderer in my own world,
And it's true, I am lost.
And if you'll see me entering yours,
Please, don't let me be alone anymore.
For I just want a companion,
All I ever wanted is a little bit of emotion...

I was a girl and still I am,
I tried to grow but nobody allowed me to.
I didn't learn how to speak,
For all I ever knew was to listen.
That's why nobody might have given the opinion,
That all I ever wanted is a little piece of attention...

And if you would love me,
Please understand that a girl is inside me,
So that when I push you away,
You'd realize that what I want is for you to remain.
These actions are just part of an imitation
Because this girl always fears rejection.
Her heart's yearning for a mind's declaration,
That all I ever need, is a little piece of affection...
