Infectious Love

by Elapsed   Mar 12, 2008

Finely threaded stings of cotton
Barely bind us together
Like the art of a craftsman
Weaving beads to a lace

This love is infectious
Spreading thought my veins
Like a curse upon my soul
Consuming my every thought

If life was to give me just one wish
It would be to see you with my own eyes
Perhaps, then my symptoms would be cured
Accepting the truth that you do love me

Forgone thy doubt and disbelief
Forgone the worries as I rest in peace
For when the days turn into nights
Remember the love I held for you

    Sam,
If only we could turn the page to see how the story ends.
Great to see such a beautiful sad piece from you. You have that niche to tell a story and leave the reader breathless in the thoughts and feelings portrayed. I wish you happiness.

    Sam,

There is no doubt in my mind you love this girl with all your heart, let's hope she wakes up before you give up.

This is such a sad piece. It is so hard when we have doubts about the feelings of the person we hold so dear.

If life was to give me just one wish
It would be to see you with my own eyes
Perhaps, then my symptoms would be cured
Accepting the truth that you do love me

This stanza says so much. Looking into someones eyes tells so much more then just a voice on a phone or words on a screen. Reminds me of an old Eagles song "You Can't Hide Your Lieing Eyes" The windows to our souls.
    Excellent job!
