The world is so bleak and gray,
I look upon it with the eyes of prey,
It shuts me out like wind and rain,
Making me force down shots of pain

Why can't you let me just be myself,
Don't leave me out on the icy shelf,
Rending my own heart from my chest,
Wondering "Is it all too much to digest?"

You have found your way to my sheathed heart,
So I must tell you that It's riddled with dark art,
It will take you in and rip you to pieces,
Throwing you out, with cuts and creases

It's about time that you break away from me,
We're both sick of you, you forsaken banshee,
But there's too many of you to fight,
There's nothing left for me to make all right

Can't you all see my face?
Can't you see that there is not a trace?
This body is tattered, ripped, and torn,
I can't believe your eyes still scold and scorn

So many of my bones are broken,
Yet so many words are left unspoken,
And yet there's no way I will let you win these wars,
Not until I thin the ranks of the liars and saboteurs

This is not about what he or she has done,
This is not about a smoking gun,
This is about all of you and I,
I will not stop even if I lose my eyes to lies..

"an eye for an eye", sort of. last line means that i seem to be the only one standing up for reality and righteousness, and i'm willing to lose my own life to do my best to rid the world of evil and corrupt idiocy. i know i won't win, but the fight will never really end...there's someone out there like me. brave and foolish, but a strategist. We will only lose the fight the day we die.
