My Precious One...?

by Natalie   Mar 16, 2008

I think I'm ready to meet you now,
Love of my life.
I think I'm prepared,
Reveal your face.
Where are you my precious one?
This never-ending wait consumes me,
Consumes the ripeness of my youth and pronounces the wrinkles on my face.
Last night I dreamt of you, my special one,
You came riding on your beautiful stallion
And with one kiss made me yours.
Yet today I woke and I am still waiting,
Mother promised you'd come,
She would never lie, so,
Where are you my loved one?
What is taking you so long?
My loved one...
...I am at my deathbed now and my time is ending...
...Will your lips deny me even one
first and last kiss goodbye?
