I'm not sorry

by Wings Of Flames   Mar 17, 2008

We held our eyes together,
Experienced many lights,
But once you turned your shadow,
Into the darkest nights,

An angel whispered to me,
Although you do repent,
Today I found unworthy,
Of all the time we spent,

You swore your heart was broken,
And no more do you subside,
To the love for another,
And again I do confide,

You took from me a rose,
And a prick was all that grew,
Take me to the furthest point,
Just to be with you,

Suddenly I realise,
Your love was never true,
Never will I mourn this loss,
And no tear will run blue,

From loss I have gained,
From you I have grown,
Now I hold a sweeter rose,
With that love I have shown,

Forget all your sorrows,
When two heart's cross,
His heart is unworthy,
And a sparrow is no loss.

This was a well written poem, I feel, however, I didn't much care for it. Although it had good rhythm, as well as good rhymes and was deep, I couldn't really...feel it I guess. I just think that the piece wasn't as alive as it could have been. Sorry.
