My Two Cents , Plus Another Twenty - Eight .

Sometimes , we trick ourselves into believing things are not real . And we always find out too late and a few drinks later ; But that never stops us from believing , and we of course - keep trying at it . Which allows us to get our heartbroken ; But tell me , is it worth the time believing in nothing but a mere fantasy ? Still , she chases after him . She just can ` t help it . . .

Still , she allows him to break her heart - Kiss her like she truly matters , but within moments he will walk away as if there lips embracing meant as much to him as that guy who took his order at Burger King a few hours back . [ Sighs ] There she goes again ; Her self - worth decreasing with each second that passes by on your pretty little Rolex . But , it isn ` t like brand matters . I forgot , you like them home grown ;

Keep giving her already weak hopes another tug . But - be careful , she might just fall from that pretend thrown you so falsely placed her upon when you swore you loved her ; But do not worry , I don ` t think she would know the difference - In your eyes , she has no feelings . And can feel nothing . But it is only to you . . .

Well , sweetheart , I would like to share my two cents with you - Actually , make that thirty . If you do not mind I have a lot I would like to say : You laugh as if it is funny , when really , it is the saddest thing I have seen this month . But I keep forgetting you are under the impression that she has no feelings ;

Oh , she can feel alright . She feels a great amount of love . Which just happens to be for her one and only - You . But just wait , soon it will be gone . You keep killing her love with all of this pain you inflict . But she won ` t give up ; In her mind , she recalls a time when you once told her , " True love never gives up . "

Looks like you , Mr . Almighty , made a [ huge ] mistake in saying that - Because just like every other lie you tell her , she takes it to heart . She has a heart you ask . Yes , yes she does have a heart . And call me stupid , but I believe for the past seven months it has belonged to you . I know Hun , it is just so hard to imagine . . .

So there is my two - cents , plus another twenty eight . You see that pay phone over there ? Yeah , that one ; Use it . Be sure to call for a taxi far , far away from here - Or to call and tell her once again , you just can `t make it for dinner tonight . She will have to call the best Italian restaurant in the state , and make up another excuse . " The babysitter is sick , or something like we just aren ` t up to it . " Either way , use it wisely . It may just be the last lie she can take .
