Til I cry tears.

by Teria   Mar 20, 2008

`Til I Cry Tears. **

Faults have no faults,
for you take them in.
Your body is my fortress,
filled with countless sin.*

I`m aware of pain I cause,
the surrounding world in fear.
The wars echoing our footsteps,
the end seems so near.

I have heard that up in heaven,**
a day is so much more -
I wish that it would be the same on earth,
but that leaves even more in store. . .

So, `til I cry tears of wonder,
tears of joy, not sorrow. . .
I shall awake day by day,
Living life for you, Christ our Lord.**

* (explanation) "filled with countless sin" is referring to Christ freeing us from sin, not him being filled with sin. Sorry, if it's confusing to anyone.

This is so beautiful and really is a loving poem that expresses so much glory to God.

From the get go I am drawn in and the scene of Christ taking our faults upon himself sets a strong background that gives life to the whole poem.

I also like the "confession" part. Admitting and stating that you are aware of the pain you have caused. It adds humanity and remorse to allow the reader understanding that noone can be perfect and despite our sins Jesus still loves us.

Touching upon a day being so much more in Heaven is breath taking. No one can even imagine how long a day with God is, but one thing I know is that those days we spend in eternity with our Father will be glorious and filled with much love and happiness.

It is always refreshing to see or hear someone state that each day they will continue to live for Christ. It sets a glowing emotion off that nothing in this world could dim.

This poem is very moving and I am blessed to have the opportunity to read it. Keep your faith strong and may your love and passion grow stronger with every moment.

    God Bless
