Attractive -- [Love]

by Beautiful Forever   Mar 25, 2008

Another killer strokes my face,
Just someone else for me to embrace,
Moving her body, catching my eye,
It kills me so fast I can't even cry,

I'm lost in her deadly intent,
Mesmerized without the will to prevent,
Her poison sets in, my vision blurs,
Now I'm another property of hers,

She uses me, always getting her way,
Knowing I won't have any objections to say,
As we both participate in this game of love,
Cutting up my heart, as she wears a glove,

She's careful not to leave any trace,
Too afraid I'll escape her faulted pace,
That I'll get an idea and become sly,
Or that she'll lose me, and die,

But she looks so good I can't run,
Even the pain of her holding me is fun,
I'm hers, even if it makes me sad,
Besides, a broken heart doesn't feel so bad.

    Another killer strokes my face,
Just someone else for me to embrace,
`Brilliant opening lines. So soft, and yet so violent -- just jumps out and grabs me. Such contradictions -- a killer (such a dreadful noun) to embrace (such a soft, loving verb).

It kills me so fast I can't even cry,
`Another clever line. It stuck with me throughout this piece and I can't get it out -- and it's a good thing (normally it isn't). I love the image this first stanza brings to mind. ;; A shadowed figure being held with blood and scraped marks where the tears should've been. Gorgeous.

As we both participate in this game of love,
Cutting up my heart, as she wears a glove,
`I felt like that rhyme was forced -- though the concept is quite interesting and understandable. Just cracked the flow a bit for me.

She's careful not to leave any trace,
Too afraid I'll escape her faulted pace,
`the word "any" kind of smashed the fluidity for me. I just read it out loud and it doesn't sound quite right, but I do love the word choice here.

Even the pain of her holding me is fun,
`Words that all can relate to -- a love that's strangling us and though it's agonizing, we still allow its hold to garrote.

And the ending, I just adore.
    Amazing write, love.

Damn i liked this poem alot you are a great writer but i think that a broken heart should walk away to heal not stay in the same place to let some one hurt you even more then already so
