Silent Screamers

by Katelyn   Apr 7, 2008

Isn't if funny
that we're the silent screamers
that never learn to talk?
and isn't it funny
that we're the runaways
that never had a home to begin with?
And isn't it funny
that we become the hated
before we become the know?
And isn't it funny
that we become the acapellas
before we learn to sing?
And isn't it funny
that we become the professors
before we begin to learn?
And aren't you laughing now
because you knew you were part of this
before i had to tell you?
Tell me you're laughing
because you know this is true
without me having to prove it
Tell me your face is turning red
and that your stomach hurts
and you're rolling on the ground...
but you're not making a sound
because you realize what I'm trying to say
no one ever took the time
to teach us how to rhyme.
WE don't know how to act
but we're trying our best
both you and i
but we're lost in a world
of silent screamers.
