Words Could Change Everything ; But Silence Solves It All

by ABake   Apr 8, 2008

Screaming and fighting [ Baby , It Seems Like It ' s all We Ever Do ]
Your bracelet is around my left wrist , I turn it round and round ;
You keep asking me why , why sweetheart is all I am hearing --
[ The Whole World Could Change In Just One Minute My Love ]

We ' ve got dreams ; Dreams of leaving this place we call home ,
And you look me in the eyes , silently pleading for me to let you in ;
[ Letting You In My Heart Leaves Me Feeling Quite Vulnerable - ]
I think we all know , I just cannot handle those certain situations . . .

I have always thought the right words , they could possibly --
Well , they could possibly change everything ; And that scares me .
So keep trying all of the words in the world , I will be right here ,
Waiting while you search for the particular words that open my heart .

I ' m still turning this bracelet , dreaming about your embrace ;
Staring into your eyes , I feel like I am looking into your soul --
[ At This Moment , I Am Feeling Quite Vulnerable To Your Love ]
I am starting to get the idea words just are not necessary . . .

    This poem was great, it shows just how people want to be loved, and to let people in but at the same time we fear being hurt.

    I have always thought the right words , they could possibly --
    Well , they could possibly change everything ; And that scares me .

    These lines really help show that dilema. I love how the poem comes full circle at the end. 5/5
