Heart

by Nathanilliam   Apr 8, 2008

A heart is a fragile thing, I think
Without one you would surely sink
Into a pit of despair and doom
And pending death will certainly loom.
A man without a heart will be cruel and cold
until he lives to be gray and old
And realizes a life without love is lost
He never thought that to him it would cost
His family, his friends, people he had held dear
And now he's alone, with no one near
Just money and riches and plenty of fear.
And now the crowds will laugh and jeer
At the man who sold his heart.

This poem is a very nice piece indeed. The whole poem was rhymed instead of the last line which made it emphesized. I liked the idea as well, a life with no love doesn't worth living. The whole poem was great, liked to read and comment 5/5
