Fear of the Becoming

by Diva the Chiropteran Queen and a Brokencyde and a Twilight Fan   Apr 9, 2008

It seems like you were sent from above,
To pull me out of darkness and show me love.
I never express my true feeling to you,
For I fear of being hurt and shunned.
I hide my emotions under a mask,
A mask that shows only carefreeness and happiness.
My laughter hides the sound of my breaking heart.
No one can hear it shatter into pieces.
No one but me.
It echoes through my lonely, empty soul.
I doubt anyone can save this shell,
From falling straight to hell.
Your smile warms me up,
Turning ice into water.
My heart has never danced in the meadow of love,
For it fear of being broken.
I could never say the words "I love you."
Even if I did, you may love another.
So, I'll stay in the shadows, watching,
Trying to gather my courage up.
One more thing before I end,
You take the breath right out of me.
This is all I shall say, only for today.

I like this write a lot, it flows great from the beginning to the end and it holds an amount of emotions expressed in a really good way.

I think that many people can relate to this poem and to the feelings that you portrayed here.

All in all, I like your choice of words through the poem. Whole piece sounds sincere like it's written straight from the heart which makes it very touching.

    Keep up!
