Silent plea

by endswithgoodbye   Apr 9, 2008

Whoever's out there, will you hear my plea
The sky is turning back again, it's getting harder to breath
inside my mind these memories continue to fight
The lines have been blurred between wrong and right

Our pasts continue to surface throughout the years
The memories that come bring back so many tears
we all just keep on building on top of this pile
we don't pause to see what lead to our denial

I spend all this time trying just to make it through
But at the end of the day all that's really left is thoughts of you
I struggle just to find some sort of release inside
There's no room left in me for this pain to hide
Tired of this life, so much wasted time
there's no one left to keep me from my crimes

This pressure took away everything, so here yet again I lay empty
Making my heart as cold to the world surrounding me
For now I am back to the start where it all began
Searching in myself, for a better path again

It's like I'm stuck, I cannot escape
the light at the end, is not my fate
I try, hoping the wounds will mend
screaming at my memories as I look for my end
the closer I get the harder it gets to crawl
Once I reach the end, yet another hole for me to fall

I'm left in the darkness, my nightmares surrounding me
Searching still for that someone to hear my silent plea

This was a great poem! it was deep and beautiful. you have a unique writing style that kind of reminds me of my own.

that stanza really stuck out to me. it was wisely worded and very expressive. a lovely piece of work. job well done. 5/5.
