Titles

by Joshua Reimer   Apr 10, 2008

I stand here lost within this haze
of titles emos, preps, and gays
I wonder at the ignorance of it all
and ask "why am I stuck against the wall"
this is no simple wall of stone
it is one of a much harder tone
it is one created within my mind
made with chains that truly bind
I struggle, I fight to break the chain
but alas I'm done I've lost this campaign
Ill always wonder could I have broken the chain
could I have ended the pain

...... I like it. I think labels are pretty stupid. When it comes down to it, we are all people with thoughts, feelings and emotions. And if someone is going to dis somebody else, they should atleast scrounge up an ounce of creativity and not label them like so many others do. Great poem though, I like it.

This is a really well-written poem.. you create such great imagery with the words you chose and it really makes the poem more interesting to read..

so many people can relate to this poem because you wrote about something so universal and so common - everyone experiences it and everyone knows what it is you are writing about...
