A bible of razorblades and lies.

by Gizmo   Apr 16, 2008

[So,this is a life?] your bleeding yourself dry,
lieing on the cold tiles of your bathroom floor,
unable to see straight through your own floods of tears,
unable to stand from fear of being saw as a failure.

[so, this is a life?] your lieing through your addictions,
one more pound for the next hit that you need,
to get your sorry a** through your pitiful existance,
that you call your own life and your own business.

[so this is a life] a bible of razorblades and lies,
so complex your lost in keeping you feet on the ground,
you never mean't for this sweetie [you blame him]
he dragged you down and you never jumped back up.

[this isn't a life] this is the way you chose to live,
i'll never go back to this because this isn't me,
this is him. and if he chose to live like this,
he can have his bible of razorblades and lies.

I dont really like this poem. it was just not very clear with the meaning and while i read it i didnt feel the emotion. i couldnt feel what you were getting at.

part of it was in [ ] and i'm not sure as to why. was it part of the poem? was it to be read ? it just threw off the flow for me.
