The last poem, i'll ever have to write

by Gizmo   Sep 11, 2008

Fare thee well,
as i set down this faithful pen,
i see the end of everything i once knew
& i once loved.

the words i have wrote,.. how they once,
filled my life with meaningful emotions.
now lie in crumbled ruins at my feet.

this is no life. my dreams on paper were what,
i thought kept me going...
instead they held me back.
i was once so afriad to express nothing, but on paper,
i forgot what friendship and love were for.

this is an era ended.
a heart forfilled i end this here.
knowing this is the last poem
i'll ever have to write

signing off.

I love this poem though I know you have the poet's will to keep writing and we all feel this at times, but we know we must write because that is what we do.

Well I'm glad to see this wasn't your last poem. :]

I think if you enjoy doing something you should stick to it no matter what. So yeah.

Anyways.. the poem was good, but go back and look at the punctuation. There are some i's that need to be capitalized, and some comma's needed. Just re-read it. :]

    Keep writing, okay?

Well, I'm not trying to be mean, I'm really not, but you have a lot of work to do. I would correct any and all punctuation errors if I were you. By that I mean capitalize the first letter of the first word in each line, and fix the spelling errors.

I would re-write this line as well:

"the words i have wrote,.. how they once,
filled my life with meaningful emotions.
now lie in crumbled ruins at my feet."

I can see what you're trying to do, trust me, i really can, but the way it's worded just sounds awkward. Not trying to offend you, but I did say in my post that I would leave honest comments.
